Why are you guys wearing medals? You havent earned them and Im pretty sure your not 're enacting' a historical mess function.
---------------------------------
None of our Members are wearing medals (except of course the Serving Soldier members who are entitled to them) - the photos include other foreign groups, some of whom wear medal ribbons to be as authentic as possible. Ok?

Mick, great to see you finally out in the fresh air. How's the pinkie? Keep up the good work. 4x4s all the way!

MMVG, I wouldn't worry too much about these morons from Arrse. As a Serviceman, I couldn't care less about what you do and in fact, think you do more good than harm. Bully boy tactics and abuse from illiterate bell-ends do nobody any favours and I know the grown-ups on Arrse are sick and tired of twats like these. Have fun!

Thanks mate - there appears to be no reasoning with some people, but life is too short to get upset. -Webmaster

Hi there

I am trying to trace some details about the history of an ex-Army bike my grandad has recently begun to restore.
The bike is a BSA M20 built c.1940, decommissioned in the 1960s and registered as FKY 288E or FKY 288F (we can't quite tell!) The chassis no is 84-951 and all we know is that the bike turned up in a local council house (Kirklees, Leeds area) around 1970.

What are the most appropriate channels to use when trying to find out more about this bike? Could you put me in touch with anyone able to help me or tell me more?

Thanks
Ben

I was a `Cloudpuncher` with T bty in 1982 , lucky to shoot down two aircraft with Rapier, great piece of kit that has had some bad press, like some idiot claiming it only shot down one aircaft in the War, keep up the good work, very fond memories.

Very interesting site and as I am restoring a WWII BSA WDM20 it was good to see a DR M/C even though it is a 'Late' model.
If there are any 'Don Roberts' out there who would like to give me advice/ stories about the WDM20 they are MORE then welcome to do so.

Thanks to the Rapier and Radar Tracker crews who brought the Kit to 11 (Sphinx) Bty Association Reunion at Crewe in Sept. It was great to get our hands on our old Eqt again.
We used to sit there for hours cos it was our Job , you do it for the FUN !
Many thanks to a good bunch of guys & gal . Hope to see you again next year.
